The Joint Video Infrastructure

The VDX creates virtual conference rooms and is a cross sectorial video infrastructure that can be used by all parts in the healthcare sector.

The solution bridges the gap between local, regional and commercial video infrastructures and supports the video communication in smaller organisations. Besides that, the VDX delivers a national video address book, a national user statistics and surveillance of the operation situation and use of capacity. The solution supports the most significant video platforms that exists today.

MedCom is system administrator and acts as secretariat for the steering group, follow-ups on operation and maintenance and further development.

The database for Clinically Integrated Home Monitoring

The database for Clinically Integrated Home Monitoring is a national database that collects patient measurements done in the patient’s home and share them among the relevant healthcare professionals in the healthcare system. The Capital Region of Denmark, the Central Denmark Region and the North Denmark Region deliver data from the telemedicine Open Tele platform. Data is available for patients and healthcare professionals via the Healthcare Journal. The solution is financed by regions and municipalities.

The database is still in a maturation phase and needs upscaling, a secure operation setup, preparation for handling of Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO) and integration to other systems. That is the purpose of the project ‘Maturity of telemedicine infrastructure’.
